JOIN DEAN PARK IN ITS FIGHT TO STOP THE EXPANSION OF THE WAREHOUSE PROPERTY located on Palm Avenue and directly across the street from Dean Park. A building permit has been issued to link the two existing warehouses and turn them into a giant self-service storage facility with 488 units. We are seeking to have the building permit revoked because this huge, 3-story project violates the zoning approvals for the property and in totally incompatible with the historic residential character of Dean Park.
We have retained counsel to help us with this zoning fight and would welcome your support. If you would like to be kept informed about this project and what we are doing to STOP THE WAREHOUSE, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. If you would like to make a donation to help with our legal fees, please press the “Donate” button on our website, or donate by PayPal by typing in our email address, or by mailing a check payable to Dean Park Historic District to us at PO Box 741, Fort Myers, FL 33902. We would be very grateful for your help and support.
Dean Park Historic District is a historical gem. About 8,000 people have visited Dean Park since our “Dean Park Walking Tours” began in December 2020, the 100th anniversary of our beautiful neighborhood. We hope you will visit us, pick up a “Walking Tour” brochure at our neighborhood park on Providence Street, and look at our historic homes — and our new STOP THE WAREHOUSE yard signs!
